A seasoned professional with nearly three decades of dedicated experience
in the field of youth development and education. As the driving force behind Inclusion U,
she has taken a visionary step towards addressing the critical gap in services for
children with special needs in out-of-school time programs.
With a wealth of experience in teaching, coaching, and executive leadership roles,
Danielle brings a comprehensive understanding of the needs and challenges facing
both children with special needs and the professionals who serve them. Her unwavering
commitment to this mission is rooted in her personal journey as a mother of two
remarkable neurodiverse children. One of her children, a former 23-week preemie, has
traversed the complex landscape of multiple diagnoses, granting Danielle invaluable
firsthand insights into the intricacies of ensuring that a child's multifaceted needs are met.
Danielle's pursuit of excellence extends beyond her extensive practical experience. She is currently
on the cusp of achieving a doctorate in Educational Leadership, specializing in special education, with
an expected completion date in Fall 2023. Her research focus has revolved around out-of-school time
supports for deaf and hard of hearing youth, as well as youth with special needs. This dedication to
advancing knowledge and best practices is a testament to her commitment to improving the lives
of those she serves.
As the founder and driving force behind Inclusion U, Danielle is on a mission to educate
youth development professionals on best practices for servicing youth who have Individualized
Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. She is equally passionate about offering education and
support to parents who navigate the intricate landscape of special needs care. Danielle's journey,
both professional and personal, exemplifies her unwavering dedication to creating a more inclusive and
supportive world for children with special needs.
